Did you know that HORROR movies exist because of Edgar Allen Poe's works? 

It's true... without The Raven and The Tell Tale Heart, there would be no Freddy Krueger or Chucky! I used to teach high school English and Poe's unit was one of my favorites!  When I did this table in my home, my little ones could retell the story of The Raven .. not only is it festive but also educational! 

@housebeautiful featured this and it still remains one of my favorite Halloween looks because it combines American history, English literature and design... it's the thinking man's tablescape!
