I spent the weekend hosting Miss USA with the talented TheOliviaJordan and I realized the pageant world gets a bad rap. Whether because of movies or viral moments, the pageant world doesn’t get the credit it deserves. So here are the 5 things I learned and wish you knew about the pageant world after hosting Miss USA:

1: The women are BOSSES: Miss Oregon is a mother of 4 (4 kids, where?!) who stood on that stage with enough power to command the whole room

2: The women are brilliant: One of our questions for the Final 5 was, “You have the attention of every 13-year0old girl in the world, what would you tell her in 1 sentence?” I couldn’t believe how eloquent and brilliant every answer was.

3: The women are versatile: Every woman was multitalented…singers, dancers, artists, etc.

4: The women are resilient: The road to Miss USA is wildly challenging. Miss USA is the equivalent to a Super Bowl. You’re actually more likely to win a Super Bowl than become Miss USA

5: The women are beautiful beyond looks: Everyone knows that Miss USA is a collection of some of the most beautiful women in America but it was the inner beauty that radiates. Every woman cheering on her opponent, even in the midst of her own defeat.

Congratulations to your newly crowned Miss USA 2025 (AudreyEckert_ from Nebraska) and all the incredible women who competed.
