The Pelicans lost Friday night’s home-opener to the San Antonio Spurs 120-116 in overtime. Zion Williamson finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Victor Wembanyama had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocks. 

Trey Murphy III also had 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists while Jordan Poole finished with 21 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Rookies Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen were in the game’s closing lineup in the fourth quarter and overtime.
