#MotorcycleAwarenessMonth might be wrapping up tomorrow, but safety doesn't.⁣

50 riders have lost their life this year and with the weather starting to get better (kind of), more riders are expected out on the roads.⁣
⁣
Safety's a two-way street, and it goes both ways for riders and drivers.⁣
⁣
If you’re a rider ⬇️⁣
🏍️ Wear good quality safety gear - Helmet, jacket, gloves, pants and boots. ⁣
🏍️ Follow lane filtering and lane splitting rules. ⁣
🏍️ Position yourself to be seen⁣.
🏍️ Check for blind spots. If you can’t see their mirrors, they can’t see you⁣.
🏍️ Indicate your intention to turn or change lanes well in advance.⁣
⁣
If you're a driver ⬇️⁣
🚗Indicate your intention to turn or change lanes well in advance.⁣
🚗 Use mirrors and head check to make sure blind spots are clear⁣ when changing lanes.
🚗 Give motorcyclists enough room to manoeuvre⁣. 
🚗 Make eye contact with riders, so they know they've been seen.⁣
