The KOSPI has surged about 67% since the start of the year, breaking past the 4,000 mark for the first time ever 📈

It’s another big milestone — just four months after it crossed 3,000 back on June 20 👀

Analysts say investor sentiment got a boost ahead of the upcoming U.S.–China and Korea–U.S. summits, with hopes for easing trade tensions. Meanwhile, tech giants like Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix continue to lead the charge.

Samsung, the No. 1 company on the KOSPI, even broke through the “mythical ₩100,000” barrier 💥

Experts point to several overlapping factors: Korea’s long-undervalued market, the recent weakness of the won making Korean stocks cheaper for foreign investors, and the government’s strong push toward its “KOSPI 5000 era.”

Still, from a short-term perspective, many warn that the market already looks overheated — so it’s best to stay cautious ⚠️

특히 코스피 시가총액 1위인 삼성전자는 ‘마의 10만 원’ 구간을 돌파하며 드디어 ‘십만전자’가 되었죠. 💥
