With all the music coming out of ATL, it takes a lot for an artist to stand out amongst the crowd. Destin Laurel is one of those standout artists doing things differently. His music is thoughtful and cinematic, blending Southern rap with alternative R&B, soul, and gospel. He’s been releasing music for a couple years, not only rapping and singing but also producing and directing/editing his own music videos. For his debut mixtape ‘MERCY’ he dropped in September, Destin leveled up his sound, which feels fresh and classic at the same time.
