🇮🇸 Iceland’s glacial rivers

Some places live in your imagination for years before you ever set foot, or fly, over them.

The glacial rivers near Skaftafell have been that place for me. For ten years I’ve wanted to see these endless, constantly changing patterns. One of natures abstract paintings, alive, powerful, and humbling. 

From the window of a small plane, I finally got to see this masterpiece 🖼️🎨
