Office/Living Room Update✍🏼we weren’t using our formal living room very much, so we decided to update it into an office space and I’m so happy with how it turned out. 

I wanted a space that was functional and chic but still kid-friendly and comfortable and it feels like we achieved just that! What do you guys think? 

Here are 3 tips on how to achieve a functional room update without sacrificing style:

+ make a Pinterest board of your favorite styles. And jot down your non negotiables. But of course make sure it works with your room layout. For example, I knew I wanted the 2 chair nook and I was going to make it work. So I chose chairs from @raymourflanigan that fit the space best. 

+ don’t rush, be patient and choose furniture that you truly love. We’ve been in this house for 4 years and I had no idea what to do with our high-ceiling-focus-wall… when I saw these black arch bookcase on the @raymourflanigan website, I had to have them😍

+ add color and texture with throw pillows and shelf decor - I feel like your personality can come to life these small touches and I just love that you can change it up with the seasons and holidays.
