The new season softly ushers in new beginnings. Trees gently shedding their leaves, letting go of what was in preparation for what is to come. A sacred ritual that mother nature completes each year. I think fondly of my own rituals in this season. Strolls in Central Park, stopping every so often to admire artists lost in their work, musicians playing a soundtrack for those lost in their own world, feeling for a moment that you're entranced by the film that is your own life. I think of soft sweaters, blankets that feel familiar, a roaring fireplace while an apple pie bakes in the oven. Our precious memories that seem to repeat themselves year after year. Hanging up our barbour coats after a wonderful day spent outside. A timelessness found in pieces of our wardrobe that carry our memories. The knowing that even as we change, we grow, we welcome in new seasons, that some pieces are forever. The appreciation I've found in Barbour through its classic approach, impeccable quality, & elegant nature has passed down into my child's wardrobe as well as many loved ones.
