#TSRPolitics: Two federal judges have ordered the Trump Administration to use $5.3 billion remaining in a contingency fund to aid in coverage for SNAP benefits as the government is shutdown. SNAP benefits typically cost between $8-9 billion monthly.

The program that provides benefits for 42 million people was set to run out of funds on Saturday. Although tapping into this fund will not cover the entire month of November it will aid in some coverage until the government reopens with a plan for the program.
