Join us for a very special program! In partnership with The Tibet Fund, join artist Anay Ngawang Chodak and Elena Pakhoutova, Senior Curator at the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art, for a conversation exploring how sacred Buddhist art forms and philosophies are reinterpreted for a modern audience. 

The discussion will highlight how Anay’s work expresses universal human values—such as compassion, interconnectedness, and inner wisdom—through a contemporary visual language.

Anay Ngawang Chodak's first major U.S. solo exhibition, "Human Values That Transcend Time," offers audiences a contemplative bridge between tradition and modern expression. Currently on view at crossingart, the show presents paintings that reimagine Tibet’s Buddhist heritage through contemporary abstraction and highlights the universal human values of compassion, interconnectedness, and inner human value. 

After the discussion, experience an intimate concert by the Grammy-nominated Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal, whose music bridges traditional Tibetan sounds with a global contemporary spirit.
