Wow! The 4th of July with the Clinton LumberKings was something I’ll never forget! 

Being able to experience a 4th of July in a small town where baseball is one of the pillars of the community was insane! Especially infront of a sold out crowd. 

Seeing nearly every seat filled, the roar of the crowd on great plays, and the retention wall outside the walls behind the ballpark filled with vehicles and people watching the game and waiting for fireworks really showed me how much the people of Clinton love their community.

On top of that, during my pregame walk around the ballpark to get some quick social media content, I was surprised by how many people stopped me to shake my hand and compliment the broadcasts I do on the radio. 

I had NO IDEA how many people listen to my games on the radio 📻

From the elderly folks who have been coming out to the ballpark since before my parents were born, all the way to young families who have kids who aspire to be future LumberKings themselves, people felt the need to stop me and thank me for the job I did.

I didn’t know what else to say to them except, thank you. 

I’ve always felt the support from my friends and family back in Chicago but to receive it from this community was truly incredible.

I have no idea how long I’ll be “The Voice of the LumberKings” or how long I’ll be able to call myself a sports broadcaster but I do know one thing: I’ll never forget last night. 

THAT WAS A CAREER HIGHLIGHT. 

We still have a lot of the season left to go and I’m excited to see what these boys can do come playoff time!
