Nightly demonstrations outside the ICE compound affect nearby sites, including apartments for low-income residents, a Tesla service center, an automotive shop, the Old Spaghetti Factory and the Oregon Ballet Theatre. The ICE facility sits roughly 1.5 miles south of downtown Portland along South Bancroft Street, a key connector between South Macadam Avenue and the South Waterfront district, where thousands of people live, work and conduct medical research.
