The secret is out! Impress your friends with a little inside Zoo knowledge with a visit to the Grotto and Hideaway. 

During what we call the 'chilly' months, some of the animals at the Zoo move into their winter homes. But don't fret, you can still pay them a cozy visit. 

🏝️ Aardvarks and pelicans flock to the lush Grotto with its perfect pool and natural light. This building is now open to animals and people and is located between the giraffe and grizzly bear habitats. 

🐵 Lemurs leap to their expansive habitat in the Hideaway building, which is tucked behind their outdoor habitat. Pro tip: this spot also offers the best up-close view of the Japanese macaques.
