#TerrierTuesdays: Meet Emma Park-Miller (comatbu ‘27)! Originally from a small, rural town outside of Ithaca, New York, coming to BU was a big switch for Emma, but she quickly found herself fitting into the fast pace of the city and can’t imagine herself anywhere else. Emma chose BU for its research and study abroad opportunities. She started at BU, majoring in Neuroscience on the Pre-Med track, but later switched to English, and has now found her stride pursuing her B.S. in Film & Television, with a minor in theatre arts from the College of Fine Arts (buarts). After graduating, she looks forward to pursuing a career in both film and theatre, to pursue her passions for directing and writing. Since being at BU, she has been a part of BU On Broadway (buonbroadway) as a general member, Technical Director, and Co-Technical Advisor. During her time with the organization, Emma has become a better technician and problem-solver, and has made lifelong friends. She is also a TA in the FTV department. Outside of BU, Emma works at regional theatres in Ithaca and is a Stagehand at Emerson College. She also just completed her first marathon! When asked to share a piece of advice with her fellow Terriers, Emma said, “Trust the process! I know that everyone says that, but truly trust the process. No matter how near or far you may feel from your original plans, you will end up exactly where you are meant to be. It is also increasingly important to use your voice —please do! You are given the freedom of speech for a reason, do not let it go to waste, and please advocate for those who can’t.”  Follow along today as _emmaparkmiller takes over our Instagram stories!
