It was William’s love of math and physics that led him to study medical physics at Rockhurst University and it was time spent volunteering at Children’s that sparked a passion for clinical patient care. Now, it’s Children’s Tuition Reimbursement benefit for team members—including William’s mom, Sabrina—helping make his career goals a reality.

“As a parent, you want to offer the world to your child. To work at a place that can offer financial resources in such a profound and robust way is incredible. Children’s is transforming my son’s financial future and helping him reach his goals,” Sabrina said.

Children’s recently extended its Tuition Reimbursement benefit to include eligible team members’ dependents and spouses pursuing an educational program that falls into one of our identified critical workforce pipeline positions: high-demand health care roles with a limited supply of qualified candidates. Filling these critical roles is essential to our mission to improve the life of every child. For William, this benefit will support him in graduate school, allowing him to focus his time and energy on his studies and internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

“As someone who has spent time volunteering at Children’s, I know the difference everyone there can make in someone’s life. This is one of those times where a difference is being made, one person and family at a time,” William said.
