WATCH: Days after Hurricane Melissa left communities in darkness, residents in Accompong, St Elizabeth are finding light through solar-energy devices provided by Chief Richard Currie.

With electricity still out, residents have been using the solar-energy packs to charge phones, conduct business and stay connected. 

Stephen Bradshaw, a resident of the community, shares how the storm’s impact left them without electricity.

In true display of community spirit, the residents have been rotating the use of the solar devices to ensure everyone can benefit and no one is left behind during this difficult period.
