A second Sejong Center for the Performing Arts is coming to Yeouido, Seoul! 🎭✨

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (seoulcity) has unveiled the final design for the new venue — a key part of the Great Hangang Project. Located on the north side of Yeouido Park, the complex will include large and mid-size theaters, exhibition halls, and a public observatory.

Construction is set to begin in December 2026 and finish by December 2029. The new cultural hub will also feature an outdoor stage and massive screen open to everyone — no ticket needed! Plus, Yeouidae-ro will be redesigned into a plaza so people can easily walk between Yeouido Park and the Han River. 🌉

2029 may feel far off, but this is definitely something worth waiting for! 🙌

서울 여의도에 제2세종문화회관이 들어섭니다! 🎭✨

서울시(seoul_official)가 ‘그레이트한강 프로젝트’의 핵심 사업인 제2세종문화회관의 최종 설계안을 공개했어요. 

여의도공원 북측에 위치할 이 복합문화시설에는 대공연장, 중공연장, 전시장, 공공전망대 등이 포함될 예정이라고 합니다.

2026년 12월 착공해 2029년 12월 완공을 목표로 하고 있으며, 표 없이도 누구나 즐길 수 있는 야외무대와 대형 스크린도 마련된다고 해요. 또 여의대로 지상부를 광장으로 조성해 여의도공원과 한강을 자유롭게 오갈 수 있게 할 계획입니다. 🌉

아직 2029년은 멀어 보이지만… 기다릴 가치 100% 있죠 🙌
