Healing Day 1 💗 the scariest part about my first day of “healing” (aka chemotherapy) was having absolutely no idea what to expect. 
for weeks, in between what seemed like 30 doctor’s appointments, I would imagine what it would be like - getting chemotherapy, allowing someone to put poison into my veins to heal me. To save my life. I had never in a million years imagined it would be me. 🥹
when the day came we had to be there at 7am and i was so anxious about everything that I didn’t sleep a wink the night before. I googled like crazy, memorized every chemo vlog I could find, those vlogs were my holy grail.  They were my only glimpse into what was gonna happen on my first day. The night before I got my last manicure and pedicure the sweet girl who did my nails wanted to paint them so badly and even kept saying “it’s no extra charge” to do the red I always used to get but I didn’t have it in my heart to tell her that I have cancer and start chemo tomorrow and I can’t have polish on. The morning of I cried about brushing my hair for a final time.  Mike just kept hugging me and telling me it was all going to be ok. 💗
the hardest part of the day was cold capping. It is absolutely not for the faint of heart. I am so lucky that i get to do it but even watching this video makes my stomach sink. the silver lining was that I requested the most positive capper they have and i definitely got her! Love you Asia. 💗
this day really stretched me. I had no choice other than to go and be vulnerable. the only way I’m getting out of this is by getting through it. 🙏🏼
I am beyond words grateful for our husband, who has been a rock through all of this.  I am also grateful for God and his presence and the winks along the way. 
may this video reach someone before their first day of chemo and may it bring them peace.
