kalejunkie SPICED CRANBERRY ORANGE MARGARITAS for the holidays and wow they are so good (and strong 🫠)! You will be making a batch of the syrup which you can store in the fridge and enjoy all holiday season! You can also use the syrup in mocktails if a margarita isn’t in the cards flat you. I always love serving these with festive ice cubes because they look so pretty! Hope you love these!⁣
⁣
Spiced Cranberry Syrup⁣
1/2 cup cranberry cocktail ⁣
1/2 cup cane sugar⁣
1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced thinly⁣
1/2 tsp cinnamon⁣
½ cup frozen or fresh cranberries⁣
Zest of one orange⁣
⁣
Spiced Cranberry Orange Margaritas (for 2)⁣
3 oz tequila blanco (I use lalospirits, always!!)⁣
2 oz cointreau⁣
3 oz cranberry cocktail⁣
1 1/2 oz lime juice⁣
1 oz orange juice⁣
1 oz Spiced Cranberry Syrup⁣
ice cubes⁣
⁣
Garnish: festive ice cubes (mine are cranberry cocktail + cranberries). A cinnamon stick would be a pretty addition too!⁣
⁣
First, prepare the syrup. Add all of the ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir often. Once the sugar has dissolved and the cranberries begin to pop, remove from the heat and set aside. Let sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to come together. Strain into a jar. Once cool, cover and refrigerate for up to 3 weeks. ⁣
⁣
To make your margaritas, add ice to a cocktail shaker, then add the tequila, cointreau, cranberry cocktail, lime juice, orange juice, and spiced cranberry syrup. Cover and shake. Add ice to a glass and pour the drink into the glass. Garnish as desired and ENJOY!⁣
