A little real talk. I do Q&A’s all the time and one of the questions that comes up consistently is what I struggle with—I have a beautiful family, a successful career, all the things. So what I struggle with, is balance and disconnecting and taking moments to pause and do the self-work—for inner growth and alignment—not the perfectly curated stuff that you see on IG, but the growth that feeds my soul and that’s going to keep me moving forward. ⁣
⁣
So when I got the opportunity to stay at @thegoldendoor this past week, I was so excited—but a little anxiety ridden too! I couldn’t fathom taking time away from my work to INDULGE in things. But I did—I went. I swam, I hiked, I did a Watsu massage in the dark, in the pouring rain. I journaled, I took a class called “Align Your Life,” which quite frankly CHANGED my life, I did some work with crystals, had an astrology reading, and took a breath work class that left me in tears. Not only did I leave lighter, I left with new friends and a full heart. ⁣
⁣
The point of this isn’t to push you to go to @thegoldendoor, though if you have the means, DO IT. It’s to remind you that you are worthy of all the self care. We live in a society that associates productivity with self-worth, and I am admittedly very caught up in that and I am working to find more balance. But if you need a little reminder to take little moments in your busy days to ground, tune in to a little solitude, I promise you’ll be amazed at what you hear. The little voices in our hearts are powerful, if we listen.⁣
