This cashew date shake is a copycat version of the famous Hadley’s Date Shake I’d get as a child on every family trips we’d take to Palm Springs (where dates are grown!). It’s typically made with ice cream, but today we are making it gut-healthy (thanks to my friends at @Seed) using ingredients from the Periodic Table of Microbiome Friendly Foods, including dates, banana, almonds, and coconut. ⁣

Makes 2 shakes⁣
1 frozen banana⁣
3/4 cup raw cashews⁣
6 large medjool dates, pitted⁣
1/2 tsp cinnamon⁣
1/4 tsp nutmeg⁣
Large handful ice⁣
3/4 cup almond milk⁣
Dollop coconut yogurt ⁣
⁣
Blend all ingredients, except coconut yogurt, in a high-speed blender, until thick and smooth. Transfer to glasses and add a dollop of coconut yogurt on top. ENJOY!⁣
