Not a fan of bourbon? Sub bourbon for 2 tsp vanilla extract.⁣
⁣
BOURBON MAPLE CANDIED PECANS⁣
Makes 3 cups⁣
3 cups pecan halves⁣
¼ cup maple syrup⁣
1 tablespoon unsalted butter or plant-based butter, melted⁣
1 ½ teaspoons salt⁣
1 tablespoon bourbon⁣
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon⁣
⁣
Preheat oven to 325F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium bowl, add the pecans, maple syrup, melted butter, salt, bourbon, and cinnamon. Stir everything together and coat the pecans well. Transfer the coated pecans to the baking sheet and spread them out in a single layer. Bake 23 to 25 minutes, stirring after the first 10 minutes. Remove from the oven when the pecans are toasty and dark. The maple syrup coating will be a little sticky right out of the oven, but will harden as the pecans cool. Remove from oven and stir them once more and then let them cool completely. They will harden. Once cooled, eat and enjoy!⁣

Store in a bag or covered container at room temp for up to 2 months!⁣
