T’IS THE SEASON for my BEST EVER MULLED WINE, I bring this one out every year and today is the day. It’s a good one to make now through the holidays, and it’s a huge crowd pleaser — so be sure to SAVE this post👆🏼! This recipe serves 4-5, and as you can see, could not be any easier to make. You can also save leftovers in the refrigerator for a few days, to enjoy during the week.  ⁣

Ingredients:⁣
2 large oranges ⁣
1 bottle Merlot ⁣
1/3 cup brandy⁣
2 tablespoons maple syrup⁣
2 cinnamon sticks ⁣
4 star anise ⁣
4 whole cloves⁣
1/2 cup fresh cranberries (optional)⁣
⁣
Instructions:⁣
Slice one orange in half. Slice the second orange into thin slices. Set aside. Then, heat a large pot on the stove over low-medium heat. Add the orange slices, then squeeze the juice from the orange halves into the pot. Add the squeezed oranges to the pot, too. Pour in the merlot, then the brandy, then the maple syrup, and add the spices. Turn heat up to medium to warm the mixture, being careful that it doesn’t boil or bubble up. This should take about 4-5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and taste. If it’s not sweet enough, add a touch more maple syrup. If it’s not spicy enough, let it sit for another 5 minutes so the spices really seep in. Serve in mugs, garnish, and enjoy!⁣
