HOW TO MAKE PERFECT OVEN ROASTED SWEET POTATOES 🍠! Follow @kalejunkie for more tips! There are many different ways to make sweet potatoes (including in the microwave!!), but this method is my FAVORITE and that’s because they get nice and juicy, with a caramelized sweet flavor that just isn’t the same if you do it in the microwave. ⁣

Here are some PRO TIPS you need to know:⁣
1. Try to buy sweet potatoes that are roughly the same size so that they all cook evenly. ⁣
2. Make sure to scrub and clean them before doing anything—they are dirty! I use a produce brush to scrub them as best as I can.⁣
3. Poke holes all over the sweet potato. This is so they don’t burst and it also helps create moisture (juicy sweet potatoes!)⁣
4. Use recyclable foil if possible, so we can be environmentally friendly!⁣
5. Store the cooked sweet potatoes in a container in the refrigerator for up to one week! If you don’t think you’ll eat them all, mash and pop them in an ice cube tray and add them to your morning smoothies!⁣

Here’s how to do it:⁣
Preheat oven to 400F. Poke holes all over the sweet potatoes. Lay them on a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and place a piece of foil on top and let it sit for 45 minutes. Gently remove foil, cut into your sweet potatoes and enjoy!⁣
