DIY HEALTHY COOKING SPRAYS 💁🏻‍♀️. Follow @kalejunkie for more tips! Lately I’ve been doing this with avocado oil and olive oil, as those are the two oils that I cook with the most—and it is a great way to save money (most cans contain very little of the actual oil and you are paying for the packaging), NOT TO MENTION that most of those oil sprays contain additives, like dimethyl silicone, which is used in paint, propellants such as propane, many of the ingredients are derived from GMO’s, and it’s more environmentally friendly.

Note, I still use *certain* conventional sprays on occasion, I just make sure to read the labels first, and pick the best ones (lmk if you need suggestions!).

You will see that the oil and water do not emulsify—and that’s right—there are no added fillers. So you DO have to shake it well before each use. But it’s that a small price to pay for what you gain instead?

To make this—1 part oil of choice + 4 parts boiled and cooled water. I did 1/4 cup olive oil and 1 cup water.

If you found this useful, follow along for more tips and recipes!
