## Caption

Construction of the now over $110m Cop City began on Muscogee land last spring, despite massive public outcry about the drain on resources, natural destruction and compromise on safety that such a highly militarised compound will have on local people. Ever since, activists have organised, protested and put their bodies on the line in defence of the forest and their communities.
