This summer, Aaniyah Jarrette, C’2026, a biology major from Riverdale, GA, served as an AHA SURE Scholar at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In the Dean Lab, she explored how dietary protein impacts the liver-alpha cell axis—research with major implications for metabolic and cardiovascular health. She’ll present her findings to the American Heart Association and at the Vanderbilt Summer Science Academy Symposium.
