#TSRUpdatez: #Roommates, the Mississippi mother who fatally shot one of the escaped research monkeys in her backyard appears to be off the hook. Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson says #JessicaBondFerguson won’t face any charges even though the monkey wasn’t acting aggressively at the time, per tmz_tv. _________________________________
Johnson says Ferguson feared for her kids’ safety and was justified in pulling the trigger. As we previously reported, the monkey was one of 21 that escaped after a #TulaneUniversity research truck overturned last week. Reports state residents say they don’t trust officials’ claims that the monkeys were pathogen-free, and they’re staying on high alert. _________________________________
