A big win for Detroit’s essential workers!
We’re proud to announce a much needed and well-deserved pay raise for our incredible DDOT drivers, the men and women who keep Detroit moving every day.

Members of ATU Local 26 have ratified a new contract that, pending City Council approval, will provide a wage increase, plus bonuses for safety and attendance.

This comes as DDOT continues to invest in our riders and team:
🚌45 brand new buses added
🚏More shelters and benches for riders
🏗️A new $160M terminal coming soon to support better maintenance and amenities

Detroit’s transit system is the lifeline of our city and our drivers are its heartbeat. 💙
