Hace un año, las inundaciones devastadoras causadas por la DANA puso a prueba a muchos pequeños negocios en la zona de Valencia.

Uno de ellos fue Bar Arosa, un lugar con mucha historia, abierto en 1998 y pasado de generación en generación. Silvia y Bea Martínez, las hermanas que hoy lo dirigen, vieron cómo su negocio quedó destruido de la noche a la mañana…pero también cómo su comunidad se unía para ayudarles a salir adelante.

Con el apoyo de Longer Tables Fund y World Central Kitchen, pudieron reconstruir el bar, renovar la cocina y el comedor, y volver a abrir sus puertas.

Hoy, Bar Arosa vuelve a estar lleno de vida, sirviendo sus almuerzos tradicionales y reuniendo a sus vecinos, como siempre ha hecho.

One year ago, the DANA floods devastated small businesses across Valencia.

One of them, Bar Arosa, was founded in 1998 and passed down through generations. Sisters Silvia and Bea Martínez saw their family’s business destroyed overnight. With support from the Longer Tables Fund and World Central Kitchen, they were able to rebuild, renovating the bar, kitchen, and dining space.

Today, Bar Arosa is once again full of life, serving their beloved traditional Valencian lunches and bringing neighbors together — just like before.
