Every wedding tells the unique story of the couple, their families and friends coming together for a celebration of love💓

It’s not about the wedding content or following trends, though that can be fun to play with because we do live in a world where we are seeing the most creative reels and highlights we’ve ever seen which is exciting!💫

Just think, back in the time when our parents and grandparents were getting married how different things were and how presence truly mattered. They were lucky to get one or two photos standing next to each other awkwardly (this is a pose I love to recreate for couples bc iykyk🙈)

But if we are filling up our wedding timelines with nonstop things to do…where are we giving ourselves time to just relax and enjoy the actual moments that are happening?🫶🏼✨

How do you feel at your wedding? Are you able to enjoy the moments in between the ceremonies and posed portraits? Are you able to laugh with your significant other at the cute moments between you guys? Are you able to kick it with your friends and family that have watched you grow into the amazing people you are?✨

There’s a certain pressure around South Asian weddings that no one really likes to talk about. Maybe a pressure from the parents to have a large wedding you don’t really want but kind of have to do…maybe a pressure to take pictures with every single guest that attends…the pressures can add up of expectations.

But the real beauty of a wedding lies in how it’s felt and remembered💫

Not in the way it’s performed or expected to be…💓
