Texas Tech team barber Ivan Ortiz’s wife, Maddie Ortiz, was critically injured in a devastating car accident caused by a drunk driver. In response, Ivan set up a GoFundMe to help raise money for her recovery — and BYU fans have rallied together to contribute ahead of BYU’s football matchup against Texas Tech this week. 🥺⁣

On October 16, Maddie was hit by a drunk driver, leaving her with severe injuries and a long road to recovery. With an original goal of $25,000, Ivan launched the fundraiser — and thanks to the incredible support from BYU fans, donations have now surpassed $122,000. 🫶⁣
