Diabetes advocacy for me means using my voice, story, and platform to raise awareness, understanding, and strength in a community that frequently endures silent struggles. It’s about showing others that living with diabetes does not limit your aspirations or define your worth; rather, it gives you an extra reason to work harder. Advocacy is about more than just education and access to care; it’s about changing people’s perceptions about diabetes by replacing fear and stigma with empowerment and connection. Every day, I live diabetes advocacy - not just through my posts or campaigns, but through my actions as a student-athlete and individual. I’m representing what it means to live strong with diabetes.
