It’s pizza, but cozy and in a bowl. I’m not sure if my very Italian grandmother would scream at me for this or think it’s fun. Either way, it tastes really good and that’s all that matters at the end of the day, right?! RIGHT?! Plus I feel like kids would think it’s so fun haha. Enjoy! INGREDIENTS: • 1 lb hot Italian sausage, casings removed • 1 red bell pepper, diced • 1 sweet onion, diced • 6 garlic cloves, crushed or minced • 1 tbsp olive oil • 1/2 cup pepperoni, chopped (I used the minis) • 2 tsp dried basil • 2 tsp Italian seasoning • 2 tsp oregano • 1 tsp red pepper flakes • Salt to taste • 4 cups chicken broth • 28oz can crushed tomatoes • 1 cup pizza sauce • Shredded mozzarella for topping DIRECTIONS: • Over medium heat, sauté sausage, pepperoni, bell pepper, and sweet onion in olive oil until sausage is no longer pink. • Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds • Sprinkle in basil, Italian seasoning, oregano, red pepper flakes • Pour in chicken broth, crushed tomatoes, and pizza sauce.
