On the eve of their state championship game, here’s a look at the five Monsignor Martin Athletic Association champion Crusaders who were selected to the 2025 All-Catholic First Team. 

Noah Cosgrove '26 of West Seneca, Hayden Cunningham '26 of Buffalo, Victory Shalamba '26 of Buffalo, Henry Smith '26 of Buffalo and Austin Xiao '26 of Williamsville were selected to the team, which is voted on by MMAA coaches. 

Cosgrove and Shalamba were both repeat first-team selections. 

The Crusaders (16-1-1), winners of 16 straight, will play Chaminade (16-1-2) of Long Island in the New York State Catholic High Schools Athletic Association championship at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's University’s Belson Stadium.

Canisius beat Queens’ Archbishop Molloy, 1-0, in Sunday’s state semifinals. 

Entering the state semifinals, Cosgrove was second on the team in assists with 13 and added five goals and 29 steals. 

Cunningham led the Crusaders with 80 steals on the season, also added three goals and three assists. 

Shalamba was second on the team with 71 steals. 

Smith led the team and the MMAA in points with 61, led the team in goals with 22,  and led the team and MMAA in assists with 17. 

Xiao had 31 steals, four goals, and seven assists on the season.
