1 week down in 2024!  Tiff and I rang in the new year in NOLA and I loved all of it, especially the char-grilled oysters (why had I never heard of eating oysters that way before!?). I did a lot of reflection while I was there and wanted to share some takeaways from 2023 before it gets uncool to do 2023 reflections 😅

The most rewarding aspect of the year was the deepening of my marriage. Despite a very busy & dynamic year, Tiff and I grew closer, particularly as we faced the public eye due to the show. I’m happy that as we navigated the year, our bond grew stronger, grounding me and providing a source of comfort and inspiration.  We came out of 2023 stronger than ever.

Content creation takes time!  It’s one thing making content for myself; it’s another thing to make content when working with a brand. I was definitely challenged in this space last year but I enjoyed the process! I was very fortunate to land deals with some great brands that really aligned with my interests and through those partnerships, I was able to supplement my salary and more than double my yearly income.

The popularity of loveisblindnetflix took me by surprise. I honestly never really watched reality tv prior to being on LIB so I didn’t have a point of reference of how many people watch these shows. Being recognized pretty much anywhere I go, even when I travel outside of the country, was overwhelming at times, but I found that I’m very comfortable in this new space and I enjoyed the love and support and interactions with fans🙏🏾

I’m thankful for my family and friends’ understanding and support through a demanding year. It felt like I was doing everything and being everywhere last year and as a result, I couldn’t be as present as I wanted.  I’m thankful all my people continued to support me through such a dynamic year.

Looking ahead, I’m eager for more life, more experiences, and reaching new levels in 2024! Let’s gooooo 🚀🚀
