Producing a movie which tells the story of a real, terrifying time in the lives of thousands of people means you're carrying the loss of life, the profound amount of trauma and tragedy, and also at the same time the resilience and heroism that everyone in Paradise, California on November 8, 2018 showed. Courage under tremendous fire, a raging fire and many lost their lives trying to escape it. These are all real images from the bus that day. It looks pitch black at night, but it's actually 10 o'clock in the morning. Our movie, #thelostbus applefilms appletv blumhouse comet.pictures which will stream on October 3 around the world is the story of Kevin McKay played by officiallymcconaughey and Mary Ludwig played by americaferrera who together saved the lives of 22 school children who couldn't get home. Everyone in the school district and the city officials and of course the first responders were trying to help everyone, but in this particular instance these two people, who didn't know each other, came together for six hours. Their story is the basis for the film and it is out in Los Angeles in New York and a few other cities in theaters. I hold the community, the families, the concentric circle of grief that surrounds the families who lost a loved one and the children and their families and all the people of Paradise who survived. 
Paul #paulgreengrass and his team, managed, as he's done in the past with other films based on real events,  to hold the gravity and respect and still make a film that startles you and makes us all think. That is why art will ALWAYS lead us.
