It doesn’t get more Sacramento related than this print! The Sacramento City Council has declared September 16th as 916 Day! The number is important to those in the Sacramento, California area because 916 is our area code. 

For today, Howard letterpress printed “916” using 30 line pica (5 inches) sized wood type in the French Clarendon typeface. This type was made in the late 1880s by the Hamilton Wood Type Company. This was printed with Pantone PMS 7533c rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852 by the Charles Foster & Brother Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.
