In the shadowed hallways of the Navy SEAL SDV Team One facility, a sign hangs above the doorway that team members pass beneath daily: “Earn It Every Day.” For Greg Putnam, now General Manager of littlebeltcattleco, those words didn’t fade when he hung up his cammies & traded them out for jeans & a cowboy hat.
Those four words found a new life for Greg in Resistol’s motto “We Live It Every Day” – a philosophy that proves as vital on Montana ranch land as it was in special operations. “That’s more than a phrase,” Putnam reflects, his voice carrying the weight of both experiences. “It’s a way of life.” The parallel isn’t lost on him; whether earning the right to wear a SEAL trident or living the authentic Western lifestyle, both demand daily commitment to higher standards. “If you don’t earn it every single day, it can be taken away from you,” he says, adjusting his Resistol – a symbol of earned respect akin, to his trident badge that can’t just be worn casually as decoration but must be earned through effort & action. To Putnam both of these phrases aren’t just simple sayings; they serve as daily prompts that real success whether, in the military or running a ranch isn’t something that is passed down or handed to you – its achieved through persistent effort & demonstrated by unwavering dedication.
