At Hilton Salwa Beach Resort and Villas in Qatar, Team Members are growing more than just careers—they’re cultivating community, creativity, and connection. Just ask Ashraf, a carpenter on the Engineering team, who found purpose beyond the job as head of the hotel's Gardening Club:

“Once I joined the resort, I was searching for a way to feel more connected; to create a sense of home away from home. Gardening gave me that. What started as a small interest quickly became a shared passion with others.”

Located more than an hour from central Doha, Hilton Salwa is home to hundreds of Team Members who live on-site. With limited recreational options nearby, the hotel created over 25 Team Member clubs to help people explore new interests and build a sense of community outside of work.

The gardening club, one of the hotel’s most popular, brings together 40 Team Members who each care for their own plot of land. The fruits (and vegetables!) of their labor are shared with one another and the hotel itself—a true farm-to-table experience.  It’s a simple project that’s blossomed into something more: 

“What’s been really special is watching Team Members react when they pass by a garden we’ve worked on. Those little moments of joy and connection remind me why we started this in the first place.”
