Yesterday, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam baptized its beautiful white tulip with pink-red flames – inspired by the legendary Semper Augustus, the most famous tulip of the 17th century 🌷

The Semper Augustus was the rarest and most coveted flower during the Dutch “tulip mania” – once selling for more than the price of a canal house. Its striking broken flame pattern became a symbol of beauty, luxury, and intrigue.
