We’ve got two words for this dip: sinfully delicious. Ingredients - 1 (12-oz.) French bread loaf - 1 cup sour cream - 1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened - 1/2 cup mayonnaise - 2 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded (about 1/2 cup) - 2 medium (1/2 oz. each) scallions, finely chopped (about 1/4 cup), plus more for garnish - 2 tsp. hot sauce - 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp. garlic powder - 1 tsp. onion powder - 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper - 6 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 1/2 cups), divided - 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon (6 slices), divided - Round buttery crackers (such as Ritz), for serving Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Gather all ingredients. 2. Using a serrated knife, cut top of bread into an oval shape about 1/2-inch from edge, cutting down, but not through bottom of bread. Remove top and slice into pieces for dipping; set aside. Gently scoop out remaining bread, creating a hollow cavity, leaving sides and bottom intact; reserve for dipping. Place bread loaf on top of a long sheet (about 15 inches) of aluminum foil; set aside. 3. Stir together sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Monterey Jack cheese, scallions, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper, 1 cup of the Cheddar cheese, and 6 tablespoons of the bacon in a large bowl until well combined. 4. Spoon cheese mixture into bread loaf cavity. Top with remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar. Bring sides of foil up and over loaf, then fold and crimp edges to fully enclose. Use a second sheet of foil to cover bread loaf, if needed. Place bread loaf diagonally (corner to corner) on a large baking sheet. 5. Bake in preheated oven until filling is hot and bread is toasted and firm, about 1 hour. Unwrap, and top with remaining 2 tablespoons bacon. Garnish with scallions, and serve with reserved top and scooped bread pieces and crackers. #mississippisindip #diprecipe #breadbowl #appetizerrecipe
