Variously weighted implements are a great tool to develop strength, power, speed, and technical development! Once an athlete has grasped the basic technical model, different weight implements should be introduced to develop specific strength Overweighted implements offers more resistance, requiring the athlete to generate more force into the throw Underweighted implements offer less resistance, allowing the athlete to throw higher rates of speed into the throw We recommend exploring the usage of overweighted implements early in the season and underweighted implements during the peaking phase!
