Serving the Next Generation: Guiding, Leading, Empowering and Providing Feedback 
Tuesday night with the uoftampa Sykes College of Business - Southard Institute for Sales Excellence students was great!
Honestly, watching these grad students wrestle with messy data and turn it into sharp, strategic recommendations reminded me why I love sales. 
Anyone can throw numbers on a slide, but teaching people to find the story in those numbers, connect with the humans they are in front of and sell it to a room full of buyers? That’s the real work.
Proud of these students as I have had the pleasure of getting to personally know each one of them over the course of a few months to years.
They showed up prepared, handled the pressure, and asked questions that made us (the “buyers”) actually think. 

Giving back to the next generation isn’t always convenient, but it’s always worth it and needed more and more within Higher Education. 
To the students: you’re getting reps that most people don’t get until they’re years into their careers. The awkwardness you felt? The “am I saying this right?” moment? The doubt, fear and worry? 
That’s growth happening in real time. Keep chasing that feeling and utilized tools on how to mitigate it so you can operate in high pressure situations the way we are designed to.
