It was a weekend of firsts for numerous players for the Chippewas, as well as interim head coach Brittany Knopp's first victory at the helm. ⁠

CMU showed passion throughout the series, applying constant pressure offensively and moving the puck around the ice efficiently. It's clear, following the win, that there's a new sense of excitement surrounding the team and the direction they're headed in.⁠
