It was a great weekend of competition in Rimbey this past weekend with Christine Drisner, Helen Nowosad and Colin Balan, their team and those involved with the Breeder’s Elite Incentive. Getting to be involved in this event these past four years has been a pleasure and seeing its growth and prestige grow has been a pleasure. I love racing of any sort, and watching hundreds of run each day can seem monotonous, but with the excitement for the success, the challenges and the odd knocked barrel, its kept fresh each day and each drag. The ground was great (excellent work from AJ and Coleman Maddox) and the event was run without any major hiccups or incidents. Hundreds of thousands of dollars was paid out to owners, riders and breeders in an event that highlights the incredible blood lines of the barrel racing world, and I look forward to my fifth year working with this great crew in 2026.
