First off, a huge thank you to Slim Needham, Justin Volz and Denton Edge, along with their army of volunteers for their efforts in building the 14th annual Marwayne PBR. The event is a signpost of the season in the PBR in Canada, bringing the sport from into is Spring season and marking the beginning of when everyone’s schedule begins to pack up. I, along with many within the sport dont have places to go without former champions and passionate committees continuing to give the best bull riders and bucking bulls in Canada a place to compete.

The start of the season always makes me chase the faces, and with a darkened arena and a nice bright back door make for dynamic and interesting lighting that helps create incredibly eye catching portrait opportunities. It doesn’t hurt that the riders are all bullshitting too, bringing a fair amount of smiles and laughs. The boy brought their riding pants this weekend too, and if that is any indication of the kind of year bull riding in Canada has in store for us, it should be another cracker of a season.
