Speaking at the Ebony 80th-anniversary event, Jerrie talked about the importance of being in the room with the "blueprints" and "picking their brain" during these "interesting times."

So what's next? Jerrie says she's "leaning more into creation." She explains that her experience on "Harlem" (working with Meagan Good, Grace Byers, and Shoniqua Shandai) "spoiled" her because the character of Tye was "so not in the box." Now, she's "not willing to compromise" and is focused on creating the projects she really wants to see.
