❤️We all know great things come from HBCUs, including long lasting love! Meet the world’s longest married couple, Lyle (108) and Eleanor(107) Gittens, who met in 1941 at a Clark Atlanta University basketball game. They married in June 4,1942.

Lyle, who went on to be inducted into the CAU Hall of Fame, met Eleanor who was a spectator and student as well. In an interview with longeviquest , Eleanor stated she “could not recall the outcome of the game, only that it was the first time she ever saw Lyle.”
